Snoww ltd (a company registered in England and Wales under company number company number 10145244), along with any group companies (together, “snoww,” “us”, “we”, or "our") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy in connection with your use of our website, (the “Website(s)”), mobile applications (“Apps”) and other products (“Products”), services (“Services”), and features thereof.

We are the data controller and will process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and national laws which relate to the processing of personal data.

Snoww is a social network, and some of your information and content will be shared publicly on snoww for other users to see. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13 and do not target our websites to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit any Personal Data through the Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide Personal Data through any of our Services without their permission. Managing Your Settings

You may choose to have a private profile. To change your profile settings to private, click on the ‘Edit’ link on your profile page, then tick the ‘Private Account’ button.

You may also choose to make selected activities, or all of your activities private. To change your activity settings to private, click on the ‘Edit’ link that activity’s page, then tick the padlock icon.

If you make an activity private, it will not be viewable to anyone other than yourself, and to certain employees of snoww to ensure all content is appropriate.

Sharing your live location with followers

While recording an activity on snoww, you have the option to share your live location with your followers. This can be turned off by unticking the ‘share live location with followers’ button on the find friends screen, and will only be shared while you are recording an activity.

From time to time, users may forget to turn off their tracking, making their live location available to their followers when they are not skiing/snowboarding. To reduce this, we take the following actions:

Adjust Notification and Email Preferences

Snoww offers various ways to manage the notifications you receive. You will be asked to opt-in to emails and in-App push notifications when you sign up or log into your account for the first time.

You can choose to stop receiving certain emails and notifications by indicating your preference on the ‘Notification Centre’, located in the More section of the App.

You may also unsubscribe by following the instructions contained at the bottom of each type of email. Any administrative or service-related emails generally do not offer an option to unsubscribe as they are necessary to provide the Services you requested.

We give you as much control as possible over the in-App push notifications you receive from us. You can choose which of the following types of notifications you’d like to receive:

Please allow up to 48 hours for notification and email preference adjustments to take effect.

Deleting Information and Accounts

You may request that your account is deleted by emailing [email protected]. Once deleted, your data, including your account, activities and place on leaderboards cannot be reinstated.

We retain information as long as it is necessary to provide the Services to you and others, subject to any legal obligations to further retain such information. Following your deletion of your account, it may take up to 60 days to fully delete your personal information and system logs from our systems. Additionally, we may retain information from deleted accounts to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect fees, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the Terms of Service and take other actions permitted by law. The information we retain will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information about you that is no longer necessary and relevant to provide our Services may be de-identified and aggregated with other non-personal data to provide insights which are commercially valuable to snoww, such as statistics of the use of the Services.
